Description
The body of the XF starts with HD foam across the lining of the stomach and HD in the arms, shoulder floaters and shoulder disks. Carbon fiber reinforcements can be found in the sternum plate. The shoulder floaters have 4 strategic cuts in them to segment nicely to the goalies body and conform to current NHL specs.
The rib protection wraps comfortably around the body with seamless edges under the arms to reduce the risk of stingers on the side of the body. All straps and buckles are cleverly hid under HD foam pieces to reduce the potential of any breakage or unwanted wear.
The V7 XF Pro incorporates the use of Velcro attachment points at the shoulder blades, ultimately connecting the shoulder floaters, shoulder caps and spine plate. With these adjustments, the chest protector can be tailored to match the needs and feel of the goalies.
Compared to the Velocity XF Pro Chest Protector, the XF Pro Carbon Chest Protector will feature domestic manufacturing and materials that are ultimately more resistant to wear. The Vaughn Velocity V7 XF Pro chest and arm protector is designed specifically to meet the needs of both butterfly and hybrid style goaltenders by incorporating flexibility and a lightweight design to maximize protection and coverage in net.
