Description
The body of the XF starts with an UltraHD foam with their carbon fiber protection, ultimately increasing protection and reducing weight. Also lining the stomach is Kevlar Ballistic plates further accentuating protection in the body. This carbon fiber reinforcement can be found in the belly pad, shoulder floaters, shoulders caps, stomach wings and biceps. The sternum plate of the unit is also lined with carbon fiber reinforcements to add extra protection to the heart guard which seats itself under the shoulder floaters for seamless mobility. The shoulder floaters, while still being lined with carbon fiber, have 4 strategic cuts in them to segment nicely to the goalies body and conform to current NHL specs.
Between the body and shoulder floaters are smaller removable/adjustable flaps which the goalie can place to their wants and needs. These flaps help to cover any pucks that might sneak through the body and offer more seamless coverage. Lastly, the rib protection wraps comfortably around the body with seamless edges under the arms to reduce the risk of stingers on the side of the body.
The V7 XF incorporates the use of Velcro attachment points at the shoulder blades, ultimately connecting the shoulder floaters, shoulder caps and spine plate. With these adjustments, the chest protector can be tailored to match the needs and feel of the goalies.
